WHAT IS BECS

British Equity Collecting Society (BECS) is the UK’s only collective management organisation for audiovisual performers. It represents the interests of its members in the negotiation and administration of performers’ remuneration throughout the European Union territories. BECS also administers artist payments on behalf of Equity and broadcasting companies.

BECS was set up by Equity in 1998. Since then it has paid out more than £13 million in extra income for performances in British film and television productions. To find out more about Equity and how to join the union, visit the website by clicking on the logo.
